-
It provides a single competition licence system for a whole of sport approach to participation in any of our equestrian sports – “licence to ride”.
-
No further ongoing add-on costs, such as performance cards, as it relates to participation across any EQ equestrian sport throughout the year.
-
All riders hold a “Members Competition Licence”, nothing more. This is indicative of your right to ride, as opposed to a Performance Card.
-
A member may ride any horse anytime in any sport as long as the horse is registered with the EA (with the exception of events where horse registration is not necessary).
-
Sport Committees will no longer collect and reconcile development levies as all members will contribute to the development process across all sports through their membership.
-
Guaranteed increase in funds from Equestrian Queensland to ALL sports for the purposes of development of your sport.
-
There will be no longer any need to maintain a performance card unless you so desire.
-
This provides a streamlined approach to membership and participation in our sport for all concerned.
-
As there has been no membership fee increase for the past 2 years the EQ Board has approved this new all inclusive approach to membership within our sport, with the confidence it offers ongoing membership which is, and will remain, less expensive over time than the previous manner in which fees were assessed.
